The Original Air Jordan 11 Space Jam Made For The Movie Is Available For Auction

If you’re the type of person that’s into owning big pieces of basketball/sneaker culture, you may wanna pay attention to this one. To coincide with the release of Space Jame: A New Legacy, which arrives in theaters tomorrow, a piece of sneaker history from the original Space Jam movie will be made available to the public. A players sample edition of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” that was made for Michael Jordan to wear in the original 1996 Space Jam film is being auctioned off by Sotheby’s.
This pair was never worn and comes in deadstock condition as you can see in the images above. This size 13 pair also comes with MJ’s signature in silver on the toe of the left foot. Making this a collector’s piece, the shoes are housed in a custom wood and velvet box which comes with a laser-etched graphic of the Tune Squad logo. If you have a nice chunk of change just laying around, this player sample edition of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” is currently up for auction until July 26th. As of the time that this post was published, the current bid is at $60,000. and is estimated to sell between $150,000 and $200,000 when it ends.
